Job Description
To take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of warehouse operations, leading the team to ensure all activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards. The role is focused on driving team performance, maintaining operational control, and ensuring high service levels across all warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision & Leadership
- Take ownership of the daily supervision of warehouse staff, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Allocate and prioritise workload to maximise productivity and operational efficiency
- Monitor team performance, addressing issues promptly and maintaining high standards
- Lead by example, promoting a strong work ethic, accountability, and teamwork
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and feedback to develop team members
Inbound Deliveries
- Oversee all inbound deliveries, ensuring accurate booking-in and timely processing
- Supervise offloading activities to always ensure safety and efficiency
- Ensure stock is checked and put away promptly, aiming for same-day completion
- Act as the first point of escalation for delivery discrepancies or operational issues
- Liaise with the Warehouse Manager and Supply Chain team to resolve issues effectively
Stock Control & Replenishment
- Oversee daily replenishment to maintain stock availability and prevent picking shortfalls
- Monitor stock flow and take proactive action to support operational continuity
- Ensure accurate handling and movement of stock within the warehouse
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and organisation across all warehouse areas
- Ensure all maintenance and operational tasks are completed and recorded correctly
- Identify and drive improvements in processes, efficiency, and cost control
- Support overall warehouse performance by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Compliance & Standards
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational discipline
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies and procedures, including:

- Food Hygiene
- Quality Control
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Person Specification
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Confident communicator, able to influence and coordinate across departments
- Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to take ownership of issues
- High level of accountability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while maintaining control of team performance
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment in a supervisory or team leader role
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational setting
- Strong organisational, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with warehouse systems (e.g. Qstock, Qnetex)
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, food hygiene, and quality standards
